Since there is a band playing on Karaoke night, Karaoke has been moved to Friday, May 31st.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Memorial Wall Service for Nelson Jandura January 6, 2012

 

 

 

VFW Post 3783 recently held a free steak dinner at the Post for over twenty firefighters and law enforcement officers in recognition of their dedicated service in fighting fires and suppressing crime in Ramona.  In the top picture, Commander Nat Prassel is presenting certificates and $150 checks to Firefighter Paramedic Brandon Morgan accepted them for himself and for Firefighter Paramedic Robert Price.  In the bottom picture, Sheriff Sergeant Brent Straum is accepting a $150 check and a certificate for Detective Tom Seiver.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

At a recent ceremony in the Blue Room of the Ramona Santa Maria Masonic Lodge 580, the VFW Post 3783 and the Lodge presented an $800 orphan fund check for eight-year old orphan Natalie Toggery. Natalie's grandfather, Bob Chamberlain accepted the check on behalf of himself and his wife Carlene Chamberlain for orphan Natalie Toggery who were unable to attend the event. Left to right are Bob Chamberlain, Ramona VFW Post Commander Nat Prassel, Masonic Lodge member Wayne Rhea and Masonic Lodge member Dennis Spelts, who initiated, organized and led the ceremony.

 

 

 

 

Ramona VFW Post 3783 recently held a ceremony in loving memory of Gold Star Mother Nathalie M. Green. Her U.S. Army son, PFC Thomas F. Green, was Killed in Action on 10-26-1971 in Hha Trang, South Vietnam. The oldest brother of Thomas, David Green and his wife Kassie Green, are second and third from the left. Others, right to left, are Andy Mandichak, Nat Prassel, Johnny Dobson, Pontiac Hines, Rose Busang, Kim Mandichak, George Little and Madalyn Gifford. Not shown, but in attendance, were Francis Graves and Dale Smith.
