     Supporting the Department Programs is one of the most important goals of this committee. The Department cannot operate without funds. Your continued support in purchasing the labels,Christmas cards, many other items you receive in the mail, and items you purchase from our booth which we have at every Council of Administration and State Convention is greatly appreciated.

     However, we must do more. This year additional items will be available at our booth, and one additional request will be asked of each District. We are requesting that each District have a fundraiser and the proceeds will be split between the Department and the District Ways and Means programs.

     We cannot continue to operate without funds. A large portion of our budget comes from the Ways and Means donations. Many comrades have stated, “ I can purchase that item cheaper through an outside vendor.” This may be true in some cases. However, that purchase did nothing to support our programs. Support takes commitment.
