     God Bless America and the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States and for the Congressional Charter that gave our organization the right and power to promote the interests of all veterans that served beyond the shores of our nation during times of war.

     All Committee Chairmen have been charged and entrusted by the Department Commander to fulfill their duties and responsibilities in such a way as to assist all veterans their families and dependants.

     All District and Post officers have read these pages before; however, few have taken up the mantle and become public, press and media public relations advocates and made it an integral part of their own program. All Post and District Commanders and their program chairman are, in reality, ex-officio members of this committee. You should make every effort to become acquainted with the publishers, assignment editors and other media representatives that have direct control over the decision to publish your news releases.

     This year, our new Department Commander is leading the way by giving us a “World of Opportunity” to achieve our objectives or “WOO” for short. I appreciate the privilege to serve you in any way to get our message to the public and those that should become members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
